The Waxahachie Lions Club helps bring Miracle League home.
The Lions Club is honored to be able to present The Miracle League of Ellis County a check for $10,000. With these funds, the construction cost of the the miracle league field can start mid November, after the upcoming baseball season. It looks as though the Miracle League athletes will be playing spring ball on a brand new field.
One major upside to the field location, and scope of the project, is that this field will be able to be used by a multitude of players with all abilities. Having those Miracle League athletes in the "thick of it" and be truly inclusive was top of mind with planning this project in conjunction with a number of entities. The Lions Club would like to thank all of those involved in this terrific project and we look forward to seeing it completed.
